Floods and lots of service!!!!!! - 03/27/2017

Hola Familia!!!!
Well this last week has been super super fun!!!! We have literally gotten in so much service and I have gotten to make some great friends this last week!!!!

Trujillo is a disaster it is literally falling apart. But these people are doing pretty great things to help one another. They also always seem to find time to play futbal to relax or they find time to drink and relax, or they just find time to relax. But they are being pretty calm and doing their best.

The missionaries here as well are serving there minds out. We aren't even proselyting in missionary clothing. We go out in jeans and t-shirts looking for service and we all come back exhausted and then the next day we do it again. I literally have lost 6 pounds in the last week. And Trujillo is only a little better, we have got a lot of work ahead and i honestly have no idea when it will be a normal mission again but i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED to do service!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!
We woke up at 5 today ( our pday) just to go help clean up a street it was so much fun!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!! I literally love these people so much and I know that they are going to be OK!!!!!

TRUST GOD ya´ll its literally the best option out there!!!!!

Love you all tons, sorry the letter is short but I've got work to do!!!!!

I'm alive!!!!!!!! 3/21/2017

Hola Familia!!!!!

No se precupe!!!! I'm still living!!!!
jajaja no seriously I'm doing great my ward is like one of 2 wards here in Trujillo that is dry. So that means that yes I still go out proselyting! wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!
So this last week has been an adventure but don't worry we only flooded our room twice! But it was because of the super duro down pour that Trujillo got here. And just so y'all know. IT NEVER RAINS IN TRUJILLO. So the fact that it was down pouring they weren't really prepared so a lot of house got 3 inches of rain in the rooms. but because the next morning after the rain is so hot it dries it up pretty fast.

It has been super hard for me to be in my area because my old area is getting destroyed and i cant really doing anything for them because we aren't allowed to leave our area of proselyting..... ugh its just a little frustrating but its been OK.  I was really sad when i opened my email today and got the information that one of my old investigators died from a mosquito bite, from Dengue. That was a little depressing. But ya know I really am just keeping my head up about it. Because I know God has got a really great plan right now and yes some people are suffering, but you have to suffer a little to recognize joy. Its sad but its true.

I'm doing super and I'm so grateful that I get to be her e in Peru in this time. I am so grateful that I get to help these people!!!! I have been humbled and taught a lot in the last week. Its really helped my testimony a ton!

I love it here!!! Mud and all!!!
Hope you all have a great week!!! and please keep Peru in your prayers!!!

Here we go!!!!! - 03/13/2017

Hola Familia!!!!
So sorry I didn't get a letter out last week!!! I had a pretty rough week but now I am doing really good and a lot better!!!!!

For all of you that are worried about my foot. No worries I'm doing better and can actually leave with out my foot brace!!! wahoo!!!!!!

This last week I had the cool opportunity to be a visitor center missionary! In where might you ask??? well it was actually in just one of the churches here. It was super cool people can come and visit the churches and learn about what we Mormons do inside. IT was a super powerful experience and honestly i could do it for the rest of my mission! It was super fun!!! It was also super spiritually lifting! I got to testify ad share my testimony every 5 minutes and it was just really cool to see for some people in that moment they lives were changed forever!!!!

Also all the people here think I am super weird because I love vegetables. My pension has been making me lots of vegetable salads and her daughters just stare at me like I'm eating a dead cat, but seriously I am loving it. Some of you may know that I just love love love carrots. ( I'm hoping they will help my eyes eventually) But I asked my pension if she could just buy carrots and then give them to me fresh, like one with lunch everyday. But this last Saturday in the Church activity there were about 10 other missionaries there and at the end when they were all eating their cookies I pulled my big carrot out of my back pack to eat and my companion just laughed but then all the elders look horrified! " How can you eat that?" " why are you being healthy when there are cookies right here?" It was so funny and honestly just the boost of energy I need to brighten my week!  The mission is the best!

Hope you all have a good week!!! Its march and next month is General Conference!!!!! I am literally counting down the days!!! I love conference and I am so ready to hear some more council from my leaders to help me serve the people here in Peru better!!!! I love that conference is a chance for us to learn to be better. If we go in with the mind set that we are willing to do what ever our leaders ask of us we will gain so much more for our benefit!!!

I love this Gospel so so much! and I know That Christ is here and there, helping me and helping you! ( D&C 50) I know that as we go into this time of Easter we are really going to see how important the sacrifice of our Redeemer and Savior Jesus Christ was for us. We can not do anything to progress without His sacrifice. Because of Him we can live with our families again, because of Him we can do all that our Heavenly father wants us to do so that we can see Him again. I seriously love this church, I love the mission, and i can only hope that i can touch someones heart as i go into the last half of my mission! I know it is not going to be easy, but ya know I've made it this far.

Love you all so much!!!! Be strong and keep going!!!!!!
